Gloria Diaz debuts in film "Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa" in the mid '70s. She is a well-respected actress in the Philippine film and TV industry. Her box-office mettle, as well as her acting prowess, was recently honored when she received the most-coveted FAMAS Award (the Philippine equivalent of the Oscars) of the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences for Best Supporting Actress in her role as a spinster adoptive mother in the FAMAS Best Picture Nasaan Ka Man (2005).

She also had a comedy sitcom on GMA 7 entitled "Kool Ka Lang" where she plays the lady love and the only Miss Universe in the life of Mags (played by Joey Marquez).


These stamps were issued in 1994 by the Philippine Postal Corporation in which the Miss Universe Pageant was held in Manila.

The 1969 Miss Universe has grown-up kids now: Isabella, Ava; and adopted son Rafael, 15. The daughters’ dad is on-and-off Makati politician Bong Daza with whom Gloria is separated. All three kids live with Gloria.
